Model Airplane News June, 1965 ![]() Model Airplane News Cover for June, 1965 Click to Enlarge Here is what the blurb about this unusually abstract cover has to say: "...Can you think of a better way to end a day's flying than by sending your plane off into the magnificent sunset as seen on our cover. Phill Ellsworth couldn't resist it and thus launched his Goldberg rubber-powered Ranger 28 for a flight. Photographer John De Pue attests to the fact that it was a good flight..." About the Model The Goldberg Ranger 28 was a tissue covered balsa framework model. TThe original kit came with die cut parts that fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. The wing and stabilizer are covered only on the top surface. With a wing span of 28", this model is excellent for introducing less experienced modelers to the world of tissue covered built-up frame structures. It is capable of very nice flights when built from medium light wood. ![]() ![]() ![]() Goldberg Ranger 28 rubber powered model airplane Click to Enlarge ![]() Click to go back and select another cover. | |||||||
