Model Airplane News June, 1965 Model Airplane News Cover for June, 1965 Click to Enlarge Here is what the blurb about this unusually abstract cover has to say: "...Can you think of a better way to end a day's flying than by sending your plane off into the magnificent sunset as seen on our cover. Phill Ellsworth couldn't resist it and thus launched his Goldberg rubber-powered Ranger 28 for a flight. Photographer John De Pue attests to the fact that it was a good flight..." About the Model The Goldberg Ranger 28 was a tissue covered balsa framework model. TThe original kit came with die cut parts that fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. The wing and stabilizer are covered only on the top surface. With a wing span of 28", this model is excellent for introducing less experienced modelers to the world of tissue covered built-up frame structures. It is capable of very nice flights when built from medium light wood. Goldberg Ranger 28 rubber powered model airplane Click to Enlarge Click to go back and select another cover. | |||||||
