The August, 1960 issue features E.R. Atkins posed with his model of the F8U "Crusader" taken in front of a full-size version of the airplane. We have treated the F8U in our discussion of the July, 1961 cover of Model Airplane News.

This model is significant in that it was none of the few models designed specifically for jet power that were presented in MAN. Here is Mr. Atkins article and planse for his model.
