Model Airplane News August, 1958 Model Airplane News Cover for August, 1958 Paul DelGatto, Jr. with a Two-Stage Jetex Rocket Click to Enlarge This month, Model Airplane News made a fairly historic deviation from normal cover design -- this is one of two covers in the first 40 years that did not feature a real or model piloted aircraft. (The other is the Regulus Cruise Missile on the April, 1957 cover. This is of some note because the model uses the Jetex system -- essentially a small solid fuel rocket.
