Twenty Fifth Anniversary Click to Enlarge The article began with this: "...After a quarter century of continuous publication MAN has a history that is virtually the history of model plane building. This collection of "birthday" covers is reproduced with humility and considerable awe. To the many readers tha have made MAN, thanks ..." Indeed, the 25 covers from July 1929 to July 1954 are reproduced, showing some of the truly great cover art of the golden age. For some reason, the photo of Ms. kaufman just is not in this league. Unfortunately, another element has begun to creep in -- the produts shown on the cover were manufactured by advertisers.
