It was designed by James K Nagamatsu, a former employee of Curtiss-Wright. Advanced for its time, it was of all-metal construction with tricycle undercarriage, and accommodated the pilot and passenger in tandem beneath a sliding, bubble canopy. Successively more powerful engines (up to Model 225) were fitted in an attempt to arouse interest in the marketplace. The lightplane market in the years immediately following World War II was completely saturated and money could not be found to produce the airplane. Only the prototype was made and the project was dead by 1953. Click Here for more information about the AFA Streak 225. Click to go back and select another cover. | |||||||
