On September 24, 2002, four couples set out on a vintage shopping trip. We hit two of the "biggies" -- Zap and Co in Lancaster and Another Time in Shrewsbury. Our first stop was Zap & Co., 315 N. Queen St, Lancaster (717-397-7405) This is a very well-stocked vintage store that has so much inventory it has the feel of being in a clothing store during the 1940s. This is a good place for men to visit because they have a fairly large selection in larger sizes. Starting in 2002, Zap and Company is on the internet! They sell reproduction stuff that is highly amusing and books that you can't find anywhere else. Please check them out at www.zapandco.com. The owner informed us that Bebe Neuwurth ("Lilith" on Cheers and Frasier) had been in the store and had left just before we arrived

Our next stop was Another Time Vintage Apparel -- Established in 1994 by Suzanne Plitt, Another Time is located in an 1850's brick townhouse at 49 N. Main Street in Shrewsbury, Pa., a quaint historic town in southern York County. Another Time was voted BEST in the Mid Atlantic region for clothing and textiles by the Mid Atlantic Antiques Magazine; they carry authentic, top quality antique and vintage clothing and accessories from Victorian through 1950, and are well known for wide selection and affordable prices.
