Zoot Suit Night with Peaches
Hi Lindy
Hoppers!!! al fresco in the Bumper Car Pavilion
On November 23, 2002, the lovely and zany Peaches O'Dell put on another of her populat dances at the Bumper Car Pavilion at Glen Echo. Quite a healthy crowd took a beginner lesson from Ellen and Marc and then enjoyed three sets of Peaches interpretations of classic big band swing, including performances by the lovely Kristina Midnight. The first band break was devoted to Dances of the 1950s; Ellen kicked things off with The Madison --- and we were stunned to see a REALLY big strong line. Next cane The Stroll, and over 100 people lined up --- the record had to be played twice to allow everyone to march down the line. We ended things with the Hand Jive. All very much fun! Your Hosts, Ellen and Marc Catherine and David Debbie and Carl Katrina and Myles Sandra and Tom Karyn and Arnold (L) Jeanette, (r) Steve Catherine and Mark Carin and Floyd tout de Zoot
