Easter at the Dulles Hilton
Hi Lindy Hoppers!!! Spring Comes to the Dulles Hilton
On April 2, 2004 Gary and Sue kicked off the Easter holiday with a very nice spring dance. The centerpiece was a giant inflatable rabbit, one of many spectacular props they display from time to time. The theme was "Vinatge" and a large number of people obliged. However, the main attraction of the evening was the debut of the Tuxedo Park Orchestra who played their first gig for dancers. I was really impressed -- the group has a great big band sound and everything they played was wonderful for dancing. These guys are very hip and have a book of very solid swing material that doesn't rely on "standards" - you aren't going to hear "In the Mood" or "Pa 6-5000" at one of their dances. They have an excellent canary and they seem to be a whole lot of fun. We are looking forward to seeing them at other gigs! Sue Caley, your hostess Eli and Gary Angel and Eli -- watch these kids, they're VERY good Pam and Tom Alise Larsen wearing the ladies' new 8 Week Wonders uniform Andrea and Dave Karyn and Frank Stan Catherine and David -- they just got engaged! Ed Fei wearing the men's version of the new 8 Week Wonders uniform Lea Wilbur and Alan Hays
