The Fabulettes at CCB | |||||||
Hi Lindy
Hoppers!!! Buy Hair Spray Stock! | |||||||
The Fabulettes treated a very large crowd at CCB to an unusual evening of very danceable music. The Fabs are best known for their evocation of the Girl Group genre music, running the gamut from the Crystals to Leslie Gore to the Supremes. Tonight they gave us Girl Group styling to more danceable numbers. In short, they answered the question, "What would it have been like if the Ronettes had recorded Johnny B. Goode?" For added measure, they even threw in a couple of very well-done Andrews Sisters numbers. Coming off a very well attended event in Baltimore, the Fabs are establishing themselves as a dance band as well as a show band. We had a heck of a lot of fun.
